Discover Jericho

From the breezy hills of the Golan Heights one can descend to the Jordan Valley towards Jericho, the oldest and lowest elevated city in the world, where archaeological treasures such as Tel Jericho, believed to be the ruins of the city of Jericho, the expansive mosaic floors of Hisham’s Palace, and biblical sites such as the Mount of Temptation, Qumran, place of the finding of the Dead Sea Scrolls, and Masada, the famed last stand of the Jewish Revolt. The Dead Sea, where pilgrims can float in the salty waters and bask in the warm rays of the sun, is just a short detour along the way.
